Alistair McRobert of Rickerby Horticulture has explained exactly why so many of his customers choose to purchase ISEKI machines.
Established in 1880, Rickerby Horticulture is a family business well-known for its high-quality turf and agricultural machinery ranges and expertise. It operates across eight branches covering Lancashire, Cumbria, Northumberland, The Borders, Durham, and part of Dumfries. At Rickerby, the goal is to supply its customers with the exact equipment they need – and that is where ISEKI comes in.
“I have been working for Rickerby Horticulture since 1999, but I have been using ISEKI products as far back as 1982,” said Alistair. “It is a reliable brand that has been around a long time and is a quality Japanese product with steel metal bonnets, quality transmissions, clean burn engines, and we don’t ever have any issues with them.”
Alistair was praising ISEKI after delivering a TG6507 compact tractor to the stunning Portpatrick Dunskey Golf Club, in Stranraer.
“The TG6507 was exactly the tractor the golf club was looking for,” said Alistair. “It has a market leading lift capacity on the hydraulics, and the famous IQ transmissions which gives them lots of variation on transmission speeds for the various operations that they do here.
“The golf club requested a demonstration and they instantly liked it – the TG6507 is one of the most popular machines we sell.”
It is easy to see why the ISEKI TG range of tractors are so popular with features such as these:
- Water- cooled 3-cylinder and 4-cylinder diesel engines with displacement of up to 2,434L
- Engine performance from 40 – 67 HP
- Hydrostat with electro servo control
- IQ models with innovative IQ dual-clutch gearbox
- Intuitive operating controls
- Spacious cabin with excellent all-round view and driver comfort
- Loader joystick and valve fitted as standard
- Supplied with two double-acting auxiliary valves
“The IQ transmission certainly sells this tractor with its variable speed, without using the clutch pedal and with the Headland management system – it is a one lever machine for changing direction when aerating,” added Alistair.
Users of the TG6507 benefit from the innovative dual-clutch IQ gearbox, combining the ultimate comfortable automatic operation with the advantages of manual gear changes. Specific to the IQ range of TG tractors the Headland management controls are also perfect when working with turf maintenance implements. The PTO Stop/Start function allows you to stop the PTO when the link arms are raised for ease of operation. PTO Stop in reverse lifts the arms to a pre-set height if reverse gear is selected to prevent any damage to implements. These are fully adjustable.
In addition to the products, Alistair also feels that he gets great support from the ISEKI UK team.
“The products are market leading and the team that backs them up is the best out there,” he said. “Even through these difficult times they have managed to supply us with products which we can then sell onto end users. They understand the marketplace and they understand the timescales for getting the product to the end user, so it is a win-win situation for us.
“We have a wide customer base – from caravan parks to golf clubs and large estates to Scottish Premiership football clubs. Most of these clients use ISEKI products which is testament to how good they are.”
