ISEKI GOES WHERE EVERYTHING ELSE CANT AT WALLINGTON

The ISEKI SRA800 has proved to be invaluable to Wallington Estate. Managing the woodland paths and garden areas has been made so much easier with the brushcutter, replacing strimmers and many hours of manual labour, according to Head Gardener Simon Thompson.

Nestled in the heart of Northumberland you will find Wallington, National Trust’s largest estate, set in over 13,000 acres of woodlands, parkland and walled gardens. Management of the gardens falls to Head Gardener Simon Thompson and his team of 6 gardeners plus 50 volunteers. The large team have a wealth of machinery to support the upkeep of the garden areas which covers over 300 acres. One of these vital machines is an ISEKI SRA800.

Simon explained further; “we had a brushcutter in our fleet which needed replacing, so after numerous demonstrations and quotations we chose the ISEKI SRA800, provided by Rob Spaven at Rickerby. We knew the value of owning a brushcutter machine alongside our full workshop of other machinery. It is used exclusively for cutting the quick growing woodland garden and paths which beforehand would have been completed by numerous members of staff with strimmers.

Compared to its competitors the build quality of the SRA800 is much better along with a very competitive price point. The addition of hand controls makes for extra comfort whilst using the machine, it is easy to keep clean, service and it has a good quality engine.

The excellent manoeuvrability of the machine is vital due to the layout and landscaping of the gardens. This machine will take everything up to saplings down in its path, saving so much time which can then be dedicated to further improving the gardens.

Whilst the SRA800 was purchased specifically for brushcutting, should we have any mower down we do utilise it on the lawns, it leaves a brilliant well spread finish every time.

The service I receive from Rickerby our local dealer is second to none. This is the first piece of ISEKI machinery I have used, the build quality of the machines and the well thought through design surpasses the competitors. I will definitely consider ISEKI for any future machinery purchases.”
